MJC Engineering manufactures advanced CNC metal spinning equipment for customers throughout the world. The company received an order from a Japanese company to build a metal spinning machine to form aluminum liners for high pressure hydrogen cylinders. This type of machinery is critical for hydrogen storage, which is key to Japan’s decarbonization plan of transitioning to hydrogen as its energy source.
Due to supply chain issues with the company’s parts supplier, MJC was facing long lead times for parts, in some cases up to two years. After MJC contacted FANUC America, the company was able to receive controls, motors and drives in weeks, not years. Plus, with the support of FANUC America’s application engineers, MJC successfully built and delivered a reliable and precise machine on deadline.
