Oakland Community College (OCC) in Auburn Hills, MI is one
of FANUC America’s 1,500 partner schools. OCC offers a
robotics and automated systems technology program that
prepares students for careers in industrial automation.
OCC’s automation lab includes a wide range of FANUC
robots
that are used in industry all over the globe for material
handling, welding, palletizing, and machine tending
applications. Students who obtain a certification or degree
at OCC are ready to work in any industry that uses robotics
and automation equipment.
This video focuses on OCC’s commitment to helping
people
learn to be experts in advanced automation and build
successful careers. Hear several students explain their
journey and future goals. The key takeaway is that employers
are searching for people who can help them overcome the
skills gap. OCC’s program delivers qualified workers
to fill
job openings, and at the same time helps their graduates
obtain rewarding careers.
Everything is moving towards
automation and AI. So, if you're
not in that field of expertise
or you don't care to learn it,
then you're probably going to
fall behind in the future.

The skills gap is a big problem,
and it's especially a problem
with automation, because the
entire world is being automated
all around us. Students who
learn to work with FANUC robots
and industrial automated systems
really help fill that gap.
