ROCHESTER HILLS, MI – (May 16, 2023) – FANUC America, the world leader in CNCs, robotics, and ROBOMACHINEs will sponsor the Education Pavilion at Automate 2023, May 22-25 in Detroit.
FANUC and over a dozen schools will provide hands-on demonstrations featuring FANUC’s latest robots, cobots and CNC educational tools. Other participants include MSSC, NOCTI Business Solutions, The ARM Institute, and Focus Hope.
“The skills gap is a growing reality for companies in every industry,” said Paul Aiello, Executive Director, Education for FANUC America. “In fact, if you ask any manufacturing CEO, they will say that their top priority is workforce and talent development. By partnering with these organizations, we hope to introduce and inspire students of all ages and backgrounds (The Automation Generation) to understand and seek exciting, rewarding, and high-demand automation career opportunities.”
Since 2010, FANUC has been committed to working with high schools, technical training centers, community colleges and universities. Students learn industrial robotics, CNC, 4.0 technologies and earn industry certifications, becoming highly sought after for a variety of roles, such as operators, technicians, engineers, managers, sales, service, field techs, installation specialists, technical support, and process experts.
“FANUC America is leading the way by creating robotic and CNC pathways that align industry talent needs with educational programs at more than 1500 schools across the nation,” added Aiello. “During Automate, we hope to see instructors, students, parents, and job seekers interested in learning more about a career in robotics and automation.”
Hands-On Demonstrations at Automate
FANUC’s Education Pavilion will highlight a variety of workforce solutions including FANUC’s latest CRX-10iA cobot. Students can try the cobot’s intuitive hand guidance and easy-to-use Tablet TP programming.
FANUC will also display its CNC Simulator, designed specifically for training. The CNC Simulator ensures affordable access to the latest FANUC CNC platform in a compact and portable package without the need for an actual CNC machine. The simulator resembles a CNC interface, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with FANUC controls. FANUC’s robots, cobots, and CNC simulator can be easily integrated into any classroom.
Overcome the Gender Gap
FANUC will also host a panel discussion called “Inspiring Automation Careers” on Tuesday, May 23, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Automate Show Theater. The panel of industry and education leaders will specifically address how women should take advantage of automation career opportunities today and in the future.
