Specialized CNC Service: Customer Application Support Team (CAST)

FANUC embraces a culture of “Service First,” which means customer service is our highest priority. We are committed to supporting FANUC products for the lifetime of their use and to achieve this, all of FANUC America’s Service technicians are dedicated and knowledgeable about FANUC products. However, there are occasional situations that require a much more in-depth response. For these special occurrences, FANUC America’s Customer Application Support Team is ready to assist.

What is the Customer Application Support Team?

This is a specialized team that provides an advanced level of support to customers that go beyond the standard Field Service activities. They provide application support for various items such as servo optimization, ladder/PLC programming, data collection and help add new features to an existing product installation. They can also help add functionality to a machine no longer supported by the industry.

Who are Customer Application Support
Team members?

The Customer Application Team is the advanced level of Field Service support made up of engineers that have a broader range of skills when it comes to all FANUC CNC products. All members are senior engineers of the Field Service team.

Where are FANUC America’s Customer Application Support Team members located?

Our engineers are located throughout the country and support all customers located in the United States, Puerto Rico & Canada.

Do I need to specifically ask for a Customer Application Support Team member?

No, customers might not even know that they need the Customer Application Support Team and occasionally a standard service call might be escalated to a member. Regular CNC assistance requests should be made through the FANUC America Technical Support Call Center, available 24/7 at 1-888-FANUC-US (1-888-326-8287 (phone prompts 2 & 2). From there, the Service team will route the call to the Customer Application Support Team if deemed necessary.

  • Scale Configuration- Parameter configuration for new scale installations
  • Servo optimization & tuning
  • Advanced Servo setup and tuning – Including AICC, HPCC, AI Nano Contour Control
  • Ladder editing – Chip and EPROM programming (restrictions apply)
  • Rechargeable battery kit installation and configuration
  • 4th Axis hardware installation and parameter setup
