Dual Check Safety (DCS) Operation and Configuration

This course covers the tasks of a technician, programmer or engineer, necessary to configure and use Dual Check Safety (DCS) software v7.50 or higher.

Course Objectives:

• Configuration and modify DCS parameters.
• Setup and modify DCS position/velocity parameters.
• Configuration and modification of DCS input/output security parameters.
• Check DeviceNet safety function.
• Review of the EtherNet I/P network of the security function.

Audience

This course is intended for those who need to configure and use the DCS software option on a FANUC robot with R-30iA or R-30iB controller (software v7.50 or higher).

Prerequisites

Have completed the Software Handling-Tool Programming and Operation course or its equivalent, in some FANUC application software.

Complete Description

The course consists of a theoretical presentation in the classroom, demonstrations and a series of exercises with the equipment.

Exam Note

In order to identify the level of initial knowledge and achievement during the course, an exam is applied at the beginning and end of the course.

All exercises performed during the course include recommended safety procedures.
