Collaborative Robot Zone

FANUC’s diverse range of CRX collaborative robots—offering payloads up to 50 kg and reach up to 1,889 mm—will be on display, including the world’s first explosion-proof paint cobot: the new CRX-10iA/L Paint. With a small footprint and flexible automation, the CRX-10iA/L Paint is an ideal solution, even in high-mix, low-volume applications.

Showcasing its dispensing capabilities will be the CRX-20iA/L, which contributes to increased production, reduced materials waste, and improved workplace safety. And debuting its new screw-tightening functionality is the CRX-30iA, tightening bolts to 300Nm and verifying the actual load using Load Check Function.

M-950iA/500 Robot

Debuting at IMTS, the M-950iA/500 heavyweight robot features a wider range of motion, offering an impressive 500 kg payload capacity and 2,830 mm reach, showcased in a new friction stir welding demonstration featuring a StirRob Friction Stir Welding Head by FPT Industrie.

M-800/60-20B High Speed Laser Cutting

Being shown for the first time in the U.S. is the new M-800/60-20B, FANUC’s next-gen, high-accuracy industrial robot. Shown with FANUC’s high-speed laser interface connected to a TRUMPF TRUFiber 4001 P and LaserMech FiberCUT STa to showcase high-speed laser cutting. Cut holes are generated with Shape Gen software for easy single point teaching.

Welding with CRX-10iA/L

The ideal solution for manufacturers with little to no robotic experience, the CRX-10iA/L cobot—with a 10 kg payload and 1,418 mm reach—offers an all-new FANUC programming interface with buttons on the wrist to create the welding program. The ease of programming paired with FANUC’s world-renowned technology, proven reliability and sensitive contact detection demonstrates the flexibility of cobots for welding in many applications.

Collaborative Paint with CRX-10iA/L Paint

FANUC’s new CRX-10iA/L Paint cobot, the first explosion-proof collaborative paint robot available globally, will be prominently featured at FANUC America’s IMTS booth. The demonstrations will show how easy the CRX-10iA/L Paint cobot is to setup and use, even for companies with little to no robotic experience in the painting, powder and/or gel coating with fiberglass reinforcement industries. In addition, FANUC’s P-40iA will be showcased utilizing Visual Tracking for PaintTOOL software, which is designed to help boost customers’ paint quality. This robot will work alongside a CRX-20iA using iRPickTOOL and iRVision software to load/unload guitars to be “painted” by the P-40iA.

Flexible Multi-Arm Welding

A FANUC R-1000iA/100F material handling robot uses iRVision® 3DV to locate and pick an auger from a rack and present it to an ARC Mate 100iD welding robot. Showcasing the flexibility of coordinated motion, the ARC Mate simulates welding the auger ‘flight to shaft’ as the R-1000iA rotates the part. Next, the R-1000iA repositions the augur and the ARC Mate uses SERVO ROBOT’s FUJI-CAM 2.0 sensor to track the augur’s outer edge and simulates hard face welding as the R-1000iA rotates the part to maintain a flat welding position.

The new line of R-50iA robot controllers, built on 50 years of automation expertise, offer enhanced performance, higher precision for exceptional robot path control, built-in vision enhancements and energy-savings features. This is the world’s first robot controller to obtain third-party certification for international cyber security: IEC62443-4-1 and 4-2, offering multiple layers of defense to secure data exchange, whether it’s remote access (SSH), file transfers (SFTP), or web communication (HTTPS). The R-50iA also includes password-based user authentication, simplifying the management of user groups in the field and ensuring prevention of unauthorized entry.
